Title: A Study of Future Technology-Driven Changes in Library and Information Science
Abstract: Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital technologies are bringing significant transformation to the field of Library and Information Science. In this context, the concept of the “AI Librarian” is emerging as an important future-oriented concept. This paper examines the concept, major functions, benefits, challenges, and future role of the AI Librarian and its collaboration with human librarians. AI can support information retrieval, virtual reference services, personalized literature recommendations, research assistance, metadata generation, and information analysis. These applications can make library services faster, more efficient, and user oriented. However, information accuracy, privacy, copyright, algorithmic bias, security, and ethical issues remain important challenges. Therefore, the AI Librarian should not be considered a replacement for the human librarian but as an intelligent technology collaborator that complements professional knowledge and human judgment.

Title: Indian Knowledge System in Physics: Historical Foundations and Contemporary Relevance
Abstract: The Indian Knowledge System (IKS) represents a diverse intellectual heritage developed through textual, observational, mathematical and practical traditions. Its relevance to physics is particularly evident in mathematical astronomy, measurement, theories of matter, optics and modern theoretical physics. Indian scholars such as Āryabhaṭa, Brahmagupta and Bhāskara II made important contributions to mathematical astronomy, while the Vaiśeṣika tradition developed a philosophical theory of atomistic matter. In the modern period, C. V. Raman, S. N. Bose and S. Chandrasekhar made internationally recognized contributions to optics, quantum physics and astrophysics. This article briefly examines these contributions and discusses their relevance to contemporary physics education. IKS should be approached historically and critically rather than by projecting modern scientific theories onto ancient texts. Properly contextualized, IKS can enrich physics education, promote scientific temper and connect students with India's intellectual heritage.

Title: Ancient Wisdom, Modern Lessons: Takshashila Library and the Systematic Preservation of Ayurvedic Knowledge
Abstract: Takshashila (Takṣaśilā), one of ancient India's earliest centers of higher learning, was not only a major birthplace of Ayurvedic medicine but also an early model of systematic knowledge preservation through its richly stocked library. This paper examines the function and significance of the Takshashila library in ancient knowledge management from the perspective of Library and Information Science (LIS). It analyzes the collection, organization, and dissemination mechanisms of Ayurvedic texts at Takshashila and explores how ancient library management wisdom informs contemporary practices for the digital preservation of Ayurvedic manuscripts. The study finds that the Takshashila library not only housed texts spanning Ayurveda, the Vedas, astronomy, logic, and other fields, but also constructed a resilient knowledge preservation system through redundant strategies combining oral and written transmission, alongside cross-civilizational knowledge exchange mechanisms. This ancient practice demonstrates profound continuity with contemporary Indian digitization initiatives for Ayurvedic manuscripts, offering a historical reference for understanding the systematic preservation of traditional medical knowledge.
